NOSFIA TAKE PART IN THE 10TH IA CONGRESS

 Negros Oriental – Annual celebration of promoting a better partnership and dependable relationship between the National irrigation Administration (NIA) and Irrigator’s Association (IA).

The 10th IA Congress participated by the Negros Oriental and Siquijor Federation of Irrigators Association (NOSFIA) was conducted last November 17, 2016 at Dumaguete Cathedral Credit Cooperative (DCCCO), Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

Guests from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Agriculture (DA) and Civil Service Commission (CSC) were invited to share some inputs on their programs and services with strategies on how to effectively administer their organization.

Availment of Project from the Provincial Government were also highlighted by Mrs. Rose Mary Caunca, President, League of Government Assisted Federation of Irrigator’s Association Negros Occidental (LeGAFIANO).

During the congress, the performing IAs for 2015 of the Negros Oriental Satellite Office (NOSO) were also given recognition and awards.

The Most Viable IA was awarded to Sandulot-Siaton-Negros IA with Datag-Poblacion-Canaway IA, Bal-os Sandig FIA, Sta. Catalina Alangilan FIA, Jugno FIA being Viable IAs.

Datag-Poblacion-Canaway IA, Catigugan FIA, Sta. Catalina FIA, Jagna-Nagbalaye FIA, Fatima-Licolico FIA, Bal-os Sandig FIA, Jugno FIA and Luca San Isidro FIA were recognized as IAs with full payment of 2015 CIS Amortization.

IAs with 30% Equity generation for CY 2015 projects were Datag-Poblacion-Canaway IA and Jugno FIA.

Contributing to the viability of NIA as an agency as a whole, our IAs has given their outmost efforts worth to be acknowledged.

This event also served as another venue for fellowship among the IAs as the agency’s vital partners in the province of Negros Oriental and Siquijor./ JP (Shimei M. Ramos, PRO, NIA – NIRIO)
